o what do we expect from you? How do you secure a place in our happy little family?
Here are a few guidelines to help you maintain your place (and gain popularity) in the Heros for Hire.
- Be Friendly Above all, this is the easiest way to get help and items from your fellow Heros. The officers have decided NOT to enforce rules that force members to help each other, but we expect you to give as well as receive. If you never help others with quests/items, they are under no obligation to help you when it’s your turn to ask. People will only help if they want to, and being generous is a good way to make them want to help YOU.
- Begging and You. Begging will not be tolerated in this guild. If you need help with a quest, and nobody is available to help you, move on to something else, and ask again later. DO NOT ASK THE GUILD FOR GOLD. We can get you mats, we can make and enchant weapons and armor, and we’ll help you with quests, but free gold is only given out at Guild Events, which usually take place on holidays.
- Tradeskills. If a guild member needs an item that you can create, you are expected to make it for the cost of materials. If they provide the materials, you’re expected to make it for free. This ensures that you aren’t losing money by helping, but neither are you profiting off of a needy hero.
- Guild Policies. We have a few rules that I need to add. This guild has many kids playing in it, or parents that have kids watching and listening. So to accomodate them, guild chat will be rated PG...just like the movies. So no strong language in guild chat OR in vent please. Also...the minimum level for a toon in the guild is 15 and our minimum age limit is 15. If you have an alt...please level him up to 15 before you request an invite. And the last update, NO FAKE POSTS! If you don't know what those are...don't worry about it, this does not concern you. If on the other hand you know how to make fake posts in guild chat, this is your warning. Do NOT make a fake post in guild chat. This is an offense that will immediately get you booted from the guild. To much possibility for drama and as you know...we are a ZERO DRAMA guild. Also, there will be no runthroughs. Please do not whisper upper level toons or post in guild chat for a run through of an instance. This does not help you to build your skills as a player and agravates upper level toons that earned their high level the same way you are now...grinding and working hard. This is a bootable offense.
- Promotions. Promotions are given out on a case-by-case basis, not by level. To be promoted from Probationary status, you MUST be registered on this site. For promotions above Member, if your presence is especially beneficial to the guild, rest assured that it will be noticed, and the officers will discuss a possible promotion. Giving the guild a bad name by “ninja-ing” in a pick-up group, or griefing fellow alliance members, will be detrimental to your rank. A higher rank gives you sway in decisions that affect the entire guild. There are no demotions from officer…if you do something that warrants a demotion from officer status, you will simply be removed from the guild, at the discretion of the other officers. This rule is in place to be a detriment to abuse of power.
- Teaming with Heros. There are certain rules that apply to teaming with your fellow Heros for hire. If you want to run a certain instance, post a raid on the website so others that need that run can make plans on attending. Rule 1 still applies. Be polite to your teammates! If someone gives you advice, take it gracefully. If you feel someone on the team could improve, tell them respectfully in a /tell.
Most importantly:
The Loot Rules. Bind on Pickup items are to be passed on by ALL team members. The team will then determine who needs the item. If more than one guildie will use it, a random dice roll from 1-100 will take place, with the winner taking the item. If you fail to follow this rule and thus “ninja” the item from a Hero for Hire, the team has no obligation to keep you around. Bind on equip items should be “needed” or “greeded” as usual.
